A variety of day trips and holidays are arranged by several of our members for the benefit of all. More trip organisers are always welcome as are suggestions for new trips. On this page you can see some tips to help us organise the trips, our forthcoming trips and blog posts from previous trips. Just a few of us plan and organise trips for u3a members, we always need more people! Why do we do it? I think it is because we know members enjoy the days out and we like organising them.

Help Us to Help You

There are a few things you can do to make our task easier; these are some of them:

• Read and follow the instructions.
• Put your cash / cheque in an envelope with the application form. (loose cash gets lost).
• Make sure it goes to the person organising that trip.
• Enclose a stamped addressed envelope, which will actually seal (many have to be sellotaped). We do tend to give the SAE back unused if you go to coffee morning, but it should be supplied in the first place.
• For an overnight trip and holidays, you might be paying for insurance – then you might be asked for a bigger envelope (A5 size) and a first-class stamp. This is important for the documents and labels to reach you safely. Royal Mail do not deliver if we get it wrong, packages can be damaged and contents lost, and you might have to collect and pay a surcharge (not cheap, and inconvenient). All we ask, is for you to follow the instructions on every application form - they should be clearly stated, giving the contact details of the organiser. Phone us if you have questions.
