Days Out and Holidays

Status:Active, open to new members

Group email: Days Out and Holidays group

A variety of day trips and holidays are arranged by several of our members for the benefit of all. More trip organisers are always welcome as are suggestions for new trips. On this page you can see our forthcoming trips and blog posts from previous trips. Just a few of us plan and organise trips for u3a members, we always need more people! Why do we do it? I think it is because we know members enjoy the days out and we like organising them.

Trip Report from Shirley Harvey. A coach full of U3a members set off on our trip to Gloucester at around 9.30am. The weather was good, if a little chilly to start. We arrived behind the Gloucester Quays shops. A walk up the steps or ramp and there we were, the shops, such a treat. A…

  • Trip to the Shoemaker's Museum - Street

Our u3a trip to the Clarks Shoemakers Museum in Street on 14th January got off to a great start with blue skies and the sun shining brightly on us.  The museum was officially opened to the public in 2025 and celebrates 200 years of shoe making history. Telling the story behind Clark's shoes in the very…

  • Hereford Christmas Market

Sunday 14th December dawned fairly bright, chilly and breezy as 2 coachs set off for Hereford Christmas Market. After a good journey except for the poor pheasant that never made it (yes we hit it) we arrived in Hereford where the day was cold and a little bit disappointing as the market was not what…
