Weston-super-Mare

Usk Open Gardens - 28th June

The day started a bit drizzly and a lot cooler thank goodness, as we gradually got on our way the sun came out and by the time we arrived the weather was beautiful and warm, but towards the end of the afternoon it did become quite hot.

The gardens as usual were beautiful, with lots of various shrubs and flowers and once again the owners were on hand to give advice and explain where the plants had come from and how to care for them.

There were plenty of plants on sale for various charities.  Once again, the Scouts, Cubs and Brownies did us all proud by providing various refreshments.  The day ended with lots of tired and hot members slowly making their way back to the coach, we eventually arrived back in Weston by 17.30, happy knowing everybody had enjoyed the day.
