Days Out and Holidays

Status:Active, open to new members

Group email: Days Out and Holidays group

A variety of day trips and holidays are arranged by several of our members for the benefit of all. More trip organisers are always welcome as are suggestions for new trips. On this page you can see our forthcoming trips and blog posts from previous trips. Just a few of us plan and organise trips for u3a members, we always need more people! Why do we do it? I think it is because we know members enjoy the days out and we like organising them.

  • Cardiff  and  Fawlty  Towers  Day  Tip - 24th June

A coach load of us spent a day in Cardiff.  Not only was it the hottest day of the year so far, but at 36 degrees Cardiff was the UK’s No1 hotspot.  The primary reason for the visit was to see a touring production of Fawlty Towers but some passengers chose to shop or meet…

  • Chester Holiday 2026

Our 5-day holiday took place at the beginning of June and our base hotel was a Mercure just outside Chester. (We prefer to stay at Marriotts, but there wasn’t one in the area) As usual we used Blakes as out travel company and Janet Blake made sure we had a lovely driver, who looked after…
