The Polices & Procedures, updated July 2023, have been revised and amalgamated into one document which now includes Guide Lines for Group Leaders and for Trip Organisers. It also includes an explanation as how Group attendance fees and expenses are managed. Some sections of this document have been superceded, see below.
The following policies have been reviewed and adopted by the Committee. The new policies will be replace the relevant sections in the current consolidated document.
Charities in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are required to have policies in place
to ensure that they are run effectively and legally. The National u3a advises the following are mandatory requirements
- Equality and Diversity Policy
- Safeguarding Policy
- Health and safety Policy
- Data Protection - new adopted 27/9/24
- Privacy Policy - new adopted 27/9/24

- Reserves Policy
- External Speaker Policy
- Social Media Policy
