Trip to Abergavenny and Red Kite Feeding Centre

A day trip has been organised to Abergavenny Farmers Market and the Red Kite Feeding Centre at Gigrin Farm on Tuesday 15th September 2026

Abergavenny Market on Tuesdays features over 200 indoor and outdoor stalls in the town centre. It is a large traditional market with over 200 stalls including local produce, butchers, bakers, and crafts. It may be wise to take a cool bag for any purchases of fresh produce. 

We will leave Abergavenny at about 12.45pm and travel to The Red Kite Feeding Centre at Gigrin Farm near Rhayader. Hundreds of Red Kites feed here every day at 3pm and it is a truly breathtaking experience. We will be watching them from fully accessible hides. There is a coffee shop and gift shop.  

The Bakers Dolphin coach will leave Locking Road Car Park at 9.00am and pick up at Farm Foods, Esso Garage and X1 bus stop at Food Warehouse. We will be leaving Gigrin Farm at 4.00pm getting back to Weston by about 7-7.30pm with a stop on the way back.  

The cost of the trip is £30 per person, to include the driver’s tip and entrance to the feeding centre.

  • Date: Tuesday 15th September 2026
  • Departure: 9:00am from Locking Road Car Park
  • Pick-ups: Farm Foods, Esso Garage, and Lidl near to the Summerhouse
  • Return from Gigrin Farm: 4:00pm
  • Approx. arrival in Weston: 7-7.30pm with a stop on the way back
  • Cost: £30 (includes coach fare, entrance to the feeding centre and driver’s tip)
