Have you loved and grown-up reading science fiction novels since you were a child? Did you carry on reading and enjoying the genre as an adult.  Would you love to discuss sci-fi authors writing in the 19th-21st centuries, their books, themes, concepts and so on, with like-minded people? Then this could be the Group for you. 

We meet in the back room at Olea in South Parade (formerly The Imperial). No subs or hall hire to pay, but members need to order at least one drink and or food.

For various reasons the SF Discussion Group meeting on Fri 19th Dec 2025, 2-4pm has been cancelled.

However, the next meeting on Friday 30th Jan 2026 10am-12 will go ahead as normal.
