Have you loved and grown-up reading science fiction (SF) novels since you were a child and carried on reading and enjoying the genre as an adult?  Would you love to discuss SF authors writing in the 19th-21st centuries, their books, themes, concepts, and related SF films/TV & radio series, with like-minded people? Then this is the Group for you.

We meet in the back room at the Olea Mediterranean Bar and Restaurant in South Parade (formerly The Imperial) in town. No subs or hall hire to pay, but members need to order at least one drink and or food. Also if any potential new members have a WhatsApp account you would be able to fully participate in our SF WhatsApp group continuing discussions between meetings.
However, the next meeting on Friday 30th Jan 2026 10am-12 will go ahead as normal.
