The knitting group have again managed to find a new home we now meet at The Duke of Oxford every Monday afternoon and are still knitting even in this hot weather.
At the moment several of the ladies are knitting items to be sent to Ukraine. If any of the u3a members feel like they would like to knit something but can’t come to the group please get in touch. All hand knitted hats, scarves, gloves etc would be welcome.
As well as knitting our own projects we have also knitted hats and scarves for The Mission for Seafarers and Somewhere To Go. In the past we have knitted flowers for the local hospice and Christmas decorations for their Christmas tree in the Sovereign Centre. Our last project was jumpers for babies in Africa.
So if you enjoy knitting, a natter and a nice cup of tea or coffee why not come along.
We are also happy to help anyone that would like to learn to knit.
